Outriders Demo Update: Motion Blur Toggle, Matchmaking Improvements, and More

The demo of the sci-fi co-op game, Outriders has received a positive reception from fans. It has already been downloaded by more than two million players. It seems like many players are also encountering several technical issues, and thankfully, the developer has been listening.

Another demo update is now available for PlayStation 4/5 and PC. The Xbox version of the update is currently in testing and will go live soon. The game finally has the option to toggle Motion Blur settings. Matchmaking time is also reduced and the frame rate output issue in the cutscene is addressed.

The developer also revealed that they are looking into the annoying bug where items will disappear from inventory. We should expect a fix for that soon. Check out the complete patch notes below.

General Patch Notes:

  • Added a Motion Blur Toggle [PC, PS4/5].
  • Made minor tweaks to frame rate output for certain items in cutscenes, however, we are working on a more comprehensive fix for the future [PC, PS4/5].
  • Made improvements to cut down on the time it takes to Matchmake [PC, PS4/5].
  • Made other minor improvements and fixes [PC, PS4/5].
  • Fixed a crash that repeatedly occurred when opening the menu or inventory [PC].
  • Fixed a bug that deletes player gear if their connection drops out during a transition [PC].

Additional PS4/PS5 Specific Patch Notes:

The patch notes were posted on Twitter.

Outriders is a fun co-op game to play with friends. We recommend that you try it out before buying when it's launched. The system requirements of the game are also very reasonable.
