With the release of One Piece Odyssey about two months away, we're learning more about what the game can offer. That's because Bandai Namco has been releasing bits of information here and there. This time, it is a new trailer that revealed the Water Seven arc.
In the anime series, this arc focuses on Water 7, also known as the "Capital of Water." This is a city in Paradise known for its shipwrights. For this storyline, the Straw Hats have arrived at Water 7 looking for a shipwright who can repair the Going Merry. While there, they're targeted by the Franky Family, the underground gang of the city and the mysterious World Government organization CP9. Soon, the crew starts to fall apart with the disappearance of Robin and a split that develops between Luffy and Usopp.

For this part of the game, players can experience a new story of the Straw Hats, with a focus on Usopp and Robin. This particular quest leads them to see familiar places including the Gallery-La Company or faces like Franky’s gang, Iceburg, Aokiji, and some of the CP9 members like Lucci and Kaku.
However, while the places and situations do look and have that familiar feel, nothing is as it exactly was in these memories. Players will see some differences with the story some of them know and love.

One Piece Odyssey sees the Straw Hat Crew transported to a mysterious new island where they take on various challenges that connect the “past” and the “present.” Along the way, they go against powerful enemies and massive bosses through turn-based battles. The game takes players on an adventure to a world that introduces an original story and new characters developed under the guidance of One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda.
One Piece Odyssey will launch January 13, 2023 on PC through Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Pre-order of the game is now available. In addition to the Standard Edition, players can also get the Digital Deluxe Edition, which has the main game, the Adventure Expansion Pack, Adventure Expansion Pack Bonus 100,000 Berries, and Deluxe Edition Bonus: Sniper King Outfit Set.
