Rocket League is coming to the Nintendo Switch this holiday season, and developer Psyonix has teamed up with Nintendo to make some amazing exclusive Battle-Cars. There will be two cars available for free at launch, as well as some extra DLC goodies.

First up is the Mario/Luigi NSR. This Battle-Car will represent both plumber brothers, with the car going into Mario mode if you are playing on the Orange team or Luigi mode if you are on the Blue team. Along with the Mario/Luigi car, there is also a special boost called the “Super Star.” Like the name suggests, when you boost with this equipped a trail of Mario stars shoots out of the back of your car.

The second Battle-Car is the Samus car, made to look like the bounty hunter’s gunship. Like the Mario/Luigi car, the Samus car will also change appearance depending on your team color. Both versions of the Samus car are modeled after different versions of Varia suits Samus has worn in previous games. Additionally, there is also the “Wave Beam” boost, made to look like one of Samus’ most famous abilities.

In other Rocket League news, all versions of Rocket League will be getting an update to make goal posts transparent depending on where you are on the field. The way the new system will work is if you are in or near the goal, the goal posts will start to fade away into nothing. If you are further away in the field, the goals will look how they always have. The reason for this move, according to Psyonix, is to provide consistent visibility around the goal area and to make the goals blend in better with each arena.

If you prefer the goals to remain visible at all times, this new option can be toggled off in the Options screen. Transparent goalposts will be included in the Autumn update, however there has been no information on when that update will be released.

So what do you think? Are you excited to drive around in one of those fancy Nintendo-themed Battle-Cars when Rocket League launches on Switch? Do you want to know all the changes coming in the Autumn update? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
