After Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot commented on what the publisher has in store for the Nintendo NX, he spoke out again regarding the mysterious new Nintendo console.

At an Ubisoft event, Guillemot talked with IGN about his latest comments surrounding the Nintendo NX and had some interesting things to say about it, including why he is excited to work on the new console.

"I think, once again, the interface is very attractive," Guillemot told IGN. "It's a machine that will be easy to use for all gamers. They have built in something that will give us chance to really have a different experience from what exists today. That's what I like - that they come with something new that is adapted to what we actually want now."

Guillemot went on to say that the NX is a new approach to gaming and that he loved it.

The most prevalent rumor surrounding the Nintendo NX is that the console is actually a hybrid handheld/home console, a rumor that seems more substantial after Pokémon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara confirmed a Pokémon game is in the works for the NX.

IGN asked Guillemot whether the NX will be a step back to the days of the Nintendo Wii, a more inclusive approach to gaming. He said, "It's difficult to answer that [before NX is revealed]. What we see is that Nintendo has learned from the Wii U. All publishers learn from what they do, and then come with something new and more attractive, which I think is the case here."

A big knock on the Nintendo Wii U, and Nintendo consoles in general, was the lack of third-party games. But comments from various third-party publishers seems to indicate this may be changing with the NX.

The Nintendo NX is set to release in March 2017.
