With the holiday season approaching fast, Nintendo announced a brand new Direct focusing on Switch and 3DS titles confirmed to release in the coming months.

This next Nintendo Direct will stream Sept. 13 at 6 p.m. EDT and will showcase many anticipated titles for about 45 minutes. While Nintendo hasn't revealed the game lineup for the September 2017 Direct, it did tease new information on Super Mario Odyssey. That likely means a brand new world, that hasn’t been shown before, will be unveiled.

To watch the Sept. 13 Nintendo Direct, you can visit the official Nintendo website or any one of Nintendo’s social media platforms. The streams of the Direct on YouTube and Twitch won’t go live until the day of, but check back here on Sept. 13 for the video .

So what can fans expect from the Nintendo Direct besides Super Mario Odyssey? For the Nintendo Switch, there are a ton of independent titles announced at the most recent Nindies Direct so we'll likely get new updates on a few of the bigger titles, like No More Heroes or Shovel Knight. The highly-anticipated Xenoblade Chronicles 2 should also make an appearance.

On the Nintendo 3DS front, Pokémon Ultra Sun And Ultra Moon should be discussed; it's the biggest title coming to the handheld console this holiday season. With little information surrounding the next installment of the Pokémon franchise, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company could use this Direct to hype up fans for an Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon release.

Nintendo is also re-releasing Pokémon Gold and Silver for the 3DS eShop later this month, so fans should expect a shout out to those classic titles.

Another Yo-Kai Watch game releases in late September, too. Yo-Kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters will bring the ultimate Yo-Kai Watch 2 experience for gamers who may have missed on Fleshy Souls and Bony Spirits a year ago.
