Ninjas in Pyjamas Win Semi-Finals Slot
Ninjas in Pyjamas Win Semi-Finals Slot OGA Dota PIT

The OGA Dota PIT Minor 2019 playoffs are heating up and Ninjas in Pyjamas is showing why they are the tournament favorite. The team's latest win gives them the first slot in the semi-finals and at worst, a guaranteed third-place finish. However NiP, like the other Dota 2 teams in this tournament, are going for the win. Aside from the prize money and DPC points, the all-important slot to the Disneyland Paris Major is still up for grabs.

NiP had to go through this route after it was eliminated in the Qualifiers for the Paris Major by The Final Tribe.

In the current tournament, NiP has a rather slow start, ending third in Group A. This resulted in the team facing Majestic Esports in the first round of the Playoffs. South American team Majestic had a good showing during the Group Stage, beating Forward Gaming and EHOME.

In the first game of their match, NiP dominated Majestic ending the game with 28 kills versus six by Majestic. Majestic tried to put up a fight in the second game, but NiP did not give up the lead. Adrian "Fata" Trinks on his Timbersaw ended the game with 12 kills.

In the next match, Nip played against Forward Gaming, who had beaten Royal Never Give Up earlier. In the first game, NiP was not be as dominating, but continued to take control of the game. However, in the second game NiP saw a return to form with Marcus "Ace" Hoelgaard getting 12 kills and zero deaths on his Anti-Mage.

Still to come in the tournament is Southeast Asia team BOOM ID playing against EHOME. EHOME has yet to show that it is back to form as the team has had a disappointing showing in the past few tournaments. The other Upper Bracket match has Alliance taking on Gambit Esports. The winner of these respective matches then go against each other for the remaining semi-finals slot.

For the Lower Bracket, Royal Never Give Up is going against Majestic Esports, with the loser being eliminated from the tournament.
