If sales are an indicator of how good a game is, then you should check out Needy Streamer Overload. Released on January 21, the game has since sold more than 200,000 copies around the world. It describes itself as a "multi-ending ADV" that depicts the daily life of a certain "OMGkawaiiAngel-chan."

If you head over to Steam, you'll really get a feel of the cuteness based on the images. However, the tags for the game are surprising, like this one: "Psychological Horror." But that hasn't stopped people from playing it and as of this writing, reviews are "Overwhelmingly Positive."

The game focuses on a young girl named OMGkawaiiAngel-chan, who has a rather extreme need for approval and hopes to be the #1 "Internet Angel" or streamer. Players need to build up her number of followers as she spends her time streaming.

There are "two" main characters with the first being Ame-chan. She gives off an impression of being quiet and low-key. The truth is that she's actually a vapid and selfish girl who tends to get carried away as well as having a desperate need for approval. Overall, her personality can be described as troublesome. The second character is the "internet angel" OMGkawaiiAngel-chan. She is an alter ego of Ame-chan, one that she uses when streaming. Unlike the real Ame-chan, this one is nice and sweet and even flirts with the otaku types.

Players take on the role of one P-chan, Ame-chan's producer. They need to give her the necessary guidance for her to become a top-tier streamer. Under the guidance and direction of the players, hopefully, she can get more and more devoted listeners/obsessed fans. This in turn allows players to get stupid amounts of Super Chat from her donation-happy otaku followers.

While hard to believe for some people, the game shows the stress involved when it comes to streaming. That means every now and then players need to take Ame-chan out on a date and find ways to help her take the edge off and release any pent-up stress she may have. It's not going to be easy since she may increase her "sickness level" and thus, be swallowed by the darkness of the internet.

What do you think? Do you have what it takes to make OMGkawaiiAngel-chan a star?
