Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate has received a balance patch that nerfed some popular characters like Shiva and Cetrion. However, NetherRealm Studios did buff others, particularly DLC characters like Rambo and Robocop.

Posted on Reddit, players gave mixed reviews about the said update. Some are okay with nerfing Sheeva but others have expressed their disappointment for the seeming lack of attention in other characters.

One Redditor commented, “Wish there were just a few buffs to Skarlet and Mileena.” Another seems to echo that sentiment by saying, “Skarlet def needs some help still."

Notable Changes

Sheeva and Cetrion’s HP has been reduced to 950 (down from 1,000). In addition, some of their abilities have been adjusted as well.

Cetrion’s Deadly Winds ability now has slightly reduced damage when blocked, and even more damage mitigation if flawlessly blocked.

Sheeva’s Dragon Drop now has a slightly smaller hit region and requires more recovery time on a miss.

The Outworld’s lord protector Shao Kahn has received massive improvements in some of his abilities. For example, his Ground Shatter has more pushback distance on a block and requires fewer frames when executed, making it faster.

Some DLC characters have received some love from the developers as well. RoboCop now has 50 HP more than the original (up from 1,050). His ability “Don’t Move Creep” is now faster, having two more active frames and fewer recovery frames on a block.

Although Rambo didn’t have an HP increase, some of his abilities got a bit better, particularly his First Blood with fewer recovery frames on a block and Diddy-Bopping with more pushback and more blockstun frames.

Additional balancing changes include Joker’s health now decreased from 1,000 to 950, and Fujin’s Knee Buckler with adjusted victim regions.

The balance update is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S consoles. No word is available yet for the PC version of the game.
