Monster Hunter World: Iceborne released its latest Title Update 3 for free. The big update includes two powerful monster variants and even a new seasonal in-game event. Of course, let's not forget the usual system updates. This new update is now available for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The PC version is going to be released a little late, and should arrive on April 8.

New Variants

Rajang is considered a large Monster in Monster Hunter World, with strong powerful arms that turn gold when angry. It is in this latter state that many hunters are tested. Title Update 3 introduces a new variant to this state known as Furious Rajang. This one has a golden coat that crackles with energy and makes every clash feels like an all-out assault. Furious Rajang makes players feel that no distance is safe. It has a long range attack that is paired with a pin attack. Additionally this variant has fewer weak points that players can exploit, making it even more difficult to take down.

The second variant is the Raging Brachydios. It brings with it some rather explosive changes plus a coating of slime that is even more volatile. This same slime seeps from different parts of the monster's body, so hunters simply need to focus their attacks on specific body parts. The problem is if the slime ever hits the ground, the explosive zone grows wider. This particular monster can even force hunters into a cage match where retreat is no longer an option.

So what would entice hunters to take on these monsters? Well, the rewards for completing these encounters are materials that can then be used to forge new top-tier Palico gear, weapons, armor featuring new set bonus skills, and decorative pendants.

In-Game Event

Once the new update eventually arrives for the PC, Monster Hunter World is going to launch the new Seliana seasonal event, titled Full Bloom Fest, a day later. Expect the Full Bloom Fest to start on April 9. This event is going to have everyone get into the rosy spirit. There's going to be new gathering hub decorations, new canteen meals, and even a new Poogie costume. Then there is the seasonal Palico gear, pendants, and paid seasonal Handler costume along with new guild card options.

While the Full Bloom Fest is active, log-in bonuses and bounties are going to offer tickets that allow payers to craft the elegant event armor. This is, of course, in addition to the new event quests which give materials for layered headgear based on the rare endemic creature Downy Crakes plus a pair of Whetfish Dual Blades.

Other New Content

Title Update 3 is going to offer what are known as layered weapons. These change how weapons look, but don't have an impact on the stats. The first round is already available and lets players customize fully upgraded weapons through a unique base frame and monster part attachments. Sometime in April, weapons that have unique designs are going to be part of the layered weapon pool.

The new update is going to overhaul Hunter Helper. One change is that those who help hunters with a lower Master Rank now get higher monetary rewards. There's also enhanced drop rates for the different quest types. Meanwhile, helping hunters with their Assignments now give players the chance to get rare decorations through Carved Feystones while other regular quests award the armor-enhancing King Armor Spheres. These spheres are going to be even more helpful, especially since rarity 12 armor can now be improved to level 20.

For those who are more into Guilding Lands, players get access to the new tool known as Banishing Ball. What this does is let quest leaders force any unwanted monsters from the region. There's also going to be new Paid DLC options for a player's New Room which includes decor, music options, and new monster figures.

Fashion hunters have a reason to be happy as well, since all NPC hairstyles from Monster Hunter World are now available under a free character customization update. Paired with new paid DLC pendants and sticker sets, hunters should be able to flex their style even more.

Future Updates

April is already less than two weeks away and once it arrives, hunters are going to face even more challenges. April also marks the arrival of Master Rank for the glimmering Kulve Taroth plus the coming of Arch-Tempered Namielle.

New as well is the Kulve Taroth Event Quest, which allows groups of four hunters the chance to gather upgrade materials which can improve the High Rank siege’s gear up to Master Rank muster. Hunters also need to prepare as Alatreon is also expected to arrive at this time.
