Mojang and the United Nations are fighting together to stop the spread of COVID-19 by raising awareness. A recent tweet from Minecraft told players to keep their hands clean as if they had touched a slime, and to clean keyboards and phones disinfected.

Mojang is thankful for everything people are doing to fight the spread of COVID-19. Even if it's just sitting at home and doing nothing, this stops the virus from spreading easily. If you are looking for a way to use time in a smart and fun way while home, you can grab Minecraft’s educational content for free in the Minecraft marketplace. This is another step Mojang took recently to allow students to stay educated while they are quarantined in their homes.

Additionally, Mojang is looking to make small changes to Minecraft to help remind players of good practices. “Over the next week or so, we are devoting space in all of our social channels to important health advice derived from the World Health Organization’s recommendations," the company stated in a recent article. "So, if you suddenly come across a Creeper asking you to wash your hands, don’t worry: their agenda has not permanently changed. In the game, they still want nothing more than to get cozy with you and proceed to blow up. But in our social channels, and for the time being, they also want to help put an end to the pandemic. We’re honored to be part of this initiative, and hope it will help inch the world toward a future free of COVID-19.”

So, what are your thoughts on Minecraft taking steps to fight COVID-19? Do you think they are taking the right step to fight the cause? Personally, I think it’s a good gesture by Mojang by helping people stay at home and also make it fun. Whatever your thoughts may be, let us know in the comments below.
