Melty Blood: Type Lumina announced its scheduled release sometime this year. This 2D fighting game is planned for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

The game is part of the Melty Blood franchise that’s based on Tsukihime, a visual novel game developed by Type-Moon. However, the upcoming game is instead based on Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon-, an upcoming visual novel remake.

Melty Blood: Type Lumina is being developed by French-Bread, the same studio also involved with the franchise. This new title remains true to the unique features of the classic while being developed from scratch to make it easier to adapt to the modern gaming landscape. That’s why it includes support for HD visuals and features a rebuilt fighting system.
