On Monday, Aziz Ansari announced via Facebook that filming of Season 2 of Master of None is currently underway in Italy, posting a photo of himself and fellow castmembers in a narrow cobblestone street.

Ansari shared a black-and-white photo of himself with his brother Aniz, Alan Yang and Eric Wareheim, along with an image of a director’s clapper board. You can see the images below:

In February, Ansari posted a series of photos to Instagram from Italy, but didn't specify if this was related to Master of None. Most of the photos were taken in the city of Modena, the birthplace of Ferrari. From a foodie’s perspective, the city is known for its superlative filled pastas and cured meats. While Ansari’s recent Facebook post doesn’t mention a specific city, several of the comments mention Modena, suggesting Ansari’s February Instagram posts were taken during a location scouting trip.

In July, Yang confirmed that several episodes of the new season would be shot in Italy. He told The Hollywood Reporter that Season 2 would follow “a story that necessitates being told in Italy and takes advantage of the differences between the [Italian and American] cultures. I'm not saying we're doing a bunch of culture-clash misunderstanding stuff, but we'd be crazy to shoot there and not take advantage of that thematically and aesthetically."

It’s not yet clear if all -- or any -- of the scripts for the upcoming season of Master of None have been written. Will Dev (Ansari) make his way to pasta school, as he planned after his breakup with Rachel (Noël Wells) at the end of Season 1? Or will he be traveling through Italy with some of his New York friends in tow?

There’s not yet a release date for Season 2 of Master of None, but you can watch Season 1 in its entirety on Netflix. The series is also up for four Emmys this year, with the awards show set to air on ABC Sunday, Sept. 18 at 8 p.m. EDT.
