“Marvel’s Spider-Man” came out all the way back in September, but developer Insomniac Games keeps giving players reasons to return to its version of Manhattan. Earlier this week, the “Silver Lining” DLC episode dropped , and on Thursday, Insomniac surprise launched a highly requested new suit, entirely for free.

Yes, Insomniac is finally adding the suit from the Sam Raimi-directed “Spider-Man” film trilogy to the PS4 game. Fans had been requesting the suit’s inclusion for some time, given the popularity of those films, but as recently as a week ago, it seemed like it might not happen.

There was a minor controversy in the fan community after Insomniac’s Twitter account seemingly shut down the idea of adding the so-called “Raimi suit” to the game last week. Given the time and resources it probably takes to make content for “Marvel’s Spider-Man,” it would seem likely that the suit was in the works before all of that happened.

Regardless, it is now in the game and Tobey Maguire fans can rejoice.
