The highly anticipated Square Enix release, Marvel’s Avengers, launches tomorrow. The game’s closed and open betas received positive reception from fans, however, the title did receive some criticism over its exclusivity deals with several companies. Fans were mostly disappointed that Spider-Man will only be available to the PS4 version of the game.

Well, now you can add one more exclusivity deal to the long list. Square Enix has made a special deal with Intel. The game will offer superior graphics quality with Intel processors. This will include better water simulations, enemy destruction, and more detailed rubble. A small trailer about Intel's optimization was released yesterday.

A more detailed explanation about the exclusive features is mentioned below. You can also read them on the official Intel site.

  • Super Charged Heroics - When you execute each Hero’s signature move in Marvel’s Avengers, you'll know it! Each of the heroes ultimate abilities have supercharged to create fantastic displays of power. The force and shockwave of each special move will create more detailed rubble and debris that stays on screen longer, so you feel and look as powerful as a Super Hero should!
  • Enhanced Enemy Destruction - With every powerful blow, stomp, blast or smash, you’ll see more persistent armor shards, in more detail, flying in more pieces and more places—making every battle in Marvel’s Avengers one you soon won’t soon forget.
  • Reactive Water Simulation - Even the water looks better on a high-end Intel powered processor. With the optimal balance of cores, threads and frequency, any interaction with water becomes a richer, more responsive experience. Water splashes and reacts as it naturally would in the real world.

While I do have an Intel CPU, I am not exactly a big fan of this move. Keeping graphical features optional to a certain piece of hardware seems like a slippery slope to me. If other AAA companies follow the same example and start making special deals with Nvidia, Intel, or AMD, then every PC player's experience will be different. PC players already have to deal with Game Store exclusivity nowadays, we don’t need more things to divide the player base.

So what do you think? Are you excited about Marvel’s Avengers? Do you like these new features for Intel processors? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
