‘Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite’: Winter Soldier And Four Other Characters We Want To See Join The Marvel Side

The announcement that Marvel vs Capcom will return in the form of MvC: Infinite has led to a lot of rumors and speculation as to who will join the cast of the beloved fighting game.

We have six characters confirmed so far (three from each side): Iron Man, Captain Marvel and Captain America from the Marvel side and Ryu, Morrigan and Mega Man X from the Capcom side, and there will likely be a ton more fighters joining.

Marvel Comics has a plethora of great characters to choose from, but if rumors that X-Men and Fantastic Four characters won’t join the fight (because movie rights?) our options are definitely limited. It’ll also benefit Marvel if the characters are part of the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe so be prepared to see plenty of those characters in MvC:Infinite.

We decided to throw our hat into predicting which characters from the Marvel side will join MvC: Infinite, which will exclude fighters who appeared in previous Marvel vs Capcom games and the aforementioned mutants.

Be sure to let us know your predictions in the comments section below.

Winter Soldier

Bucky Barnes has been a fan-favorite of comic book readers and viewers of the Captain America films. Captain America: Winter Soldier is one of the best Marvel Studios films to date, and Winter Soldier is a big part of that.

Add the fact that Civil War featured Bucky even more and Winter Soldier is a strong candidate for a spot.

Daredevil/Luke Cage/Jessica Jones

The Defenders from the Marvel/Netflix series are a no-brainer for inclusion in MvC:Infinite. Iron Fist was a part of the last Marvel vs. Capcom game, so he doesn’t qualify for our list, but Daredevil, Luke Cage and Jessica Jones totally do.

We’d love to see Matt Murdock use his ninja-like moves to beat up our opponents but having Cage and Jones’ bruiser style of fighting could be a lot of fun.

Medusa/Black Bolt

If you follow Marvel Comics, then you know you can’t mention the X-Men without having the Inhumans involved in some way.

A lot of X-Men fans even accuse Marvel of trying to replace the Children of the Atom with the Inhumans and adding one or two of the biggest Inhuman names would just add more fuel to the conspiracy theories.

Of course, we are talking about the two heads of the Inhuman Royal Family Medusa and Black Bolt.

Both characters are pretty powerful (especially Black Bolt and his sonic powers), but how cool would it be to see Medusa’s hair flailing around and causing some major havoc on the battlefield?

Black Panther

The breakout star of Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther would make an excellent addition to Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite with his hand-to-hand combat skills and array of vibranium weapons.

With his solo movie coming in 2017, Black Panther coming to MvC: Infinite also makes a lot of sense as a promotional tool.

Spider-Gwen

The hottest new character in the last few years, Gwen Stacy as an alternate world Spider-Man has taken the comic book world by storm.

Her inclusion in a lot of the main Spider-Man stories as well as being the catalyst for the creation of GwenPool puts her on this list, because one Spider character is never enough in a Marvel vs Capcom game.

If Marvel vs Capcom 3 can have Wolverine and X-23, we can get two different Spider characters with similar-yet-different styles.
