Capcom revealed two more characters joining the roster for the upcoming Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite on its social media accounts. Dormammu and Firebrand will return to join the fight for the survival of both the Marvel and Capcom universes this September.
The reveal of a brand new Marvel Comics variant cover featuring Dormammu and Firebrand was released on both Facebook and Twitter , which you can see below.
Dormammu and Firebrand were both included in the Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 roster and they join a ton of other returning characters from that game. Capcom also revealed that gameplay for both characters will be released during Gamescom, starting Aug. 22.
The confirmation of both Firebrand and Dormammu does confirm the rumored leak of the roster for Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite. This leak alleged that there won’t be any X-Men or Fantastic Four characters (at least in the base roster) and a ton of characters from Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, like Firebrand and Dormammu, would be returning.
Along with the two newly revealed characters, Arthur, Ryu, Chun-Li, Haggar, Chris Redfield, Zero, Dante, Iron Man, Morrigan, Hulk, Thor, Rocket Raccoon, Spider-Man, Nova, Hawkeye, Captain America, Strider and Nemesis will all be coming back to MvC.
At San Diego Comic-Con , Haggar, Frank West, Nemesis and Spider-Man were revealed in a brand new trailer. Gamora and Jedah received gameplay trailers a few days after they were confirmed as new characters.
