Another new gameplay video has dropped for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order, and this time Game Informer is revealing some gameplay information and tidbits about another Spider character: Spider-Gwen. To recap, last Tuesday was the formal reveal of Miles Morales (Spider-Man) and before that we got to see a seven-minutes of gameplay overview footage featuring new characters in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order like the Guardians of the Galaxy.

The new gameplay video shows Spider-Gwen in action against enemies while backed by Wolverine, Iron Man, Daredevil and Nebula. She shows off a couple of her attack moves as well, which are listed down below:
- Swing time - Gwen shoots a string of web into the air, then uses the momentum for a swing attack in the area. You can tap the attack button to lengthen the attack.
- Legit Beatdown - Gwen creates a giant ball of web and swings it around her head in a circle, hitting enemies in an area.
- Catchy Attack Name - Gwen releases multiple web blasts in front of her. You can tap the attack button to produce more webbing.
- Disappearing Act - Gwen warps into the air above enemies and then slams to the ground unleashing a devastating shockwave. Players can hold the attack button to aim.
For those unfamiliar, Spider-Gwen is an alternate universe Spider-Man much like Miles Morales. She’s a very popular character in the comics, and I think that if there’s anything good that came out of Marvel in its last few years of publication it’s her. She made her debut in the second issue of the Edge of Spider-Verse storyline which was released back in September of 2014.
Underneath the mask, she’s Gwen Stacy, a love interest of Peter Parker that ended up getting bit by the radioactive spider instead of him. It’s nice to see her get some love outside of the comics, especially soon after the popularity of the Into The Spider-Verse movie.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is set to be released exclusively on the Nintendo Switch this July 19, 2019.
