Tomorrow, March 10, is a special day for Super Mario fans. That’s because they’re celebrating Mario Day, or as they call it, MAR10 Day. You get it right? Anyway, Nintendo is celebrating this special day with a lot of offerings and in-game events.
Let’s start with the Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary Sales, which started yesterday and will run until March 13. Games for Nintendo Switch that feature Mario and his friends are being offered at a 35% discount. These include Super Mario Party, Mario Tennis Aces, Super Mario Maker 2, and even Luigi’s Mansion 3. Super Mario Bros. was released in 1985 and made available for the Nintendo Entertainment System. In the game, players had to go through side-scrolling stages avoiding hazards while getting different power-ups.
That said, here are some of the ways to enjoy this year's MAR10 Day.
Animal Crossing
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is having a crossover event to celebrate Mario’s birthday. The in-game event has already started and will last until March 23. During the event, Pocket Camp players can get the Mario hat cushion for free by simply logging in to the game.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is celebrating as well with some themed items. For one, players can put two Warp Pipes and use them to travel between different locations on the island. Read more about it here.
Mario Tour
Mobile players also get to join the celebration with all the Mario-themed fun. Mario Kart Tour is starting a Mario Tour today until March 23. Players can expect new karts, new gliders, and even new drivers.
Enjoy a New Game
What better way to celebrate Mario’s birthday than playing a new game? If you agree, then give Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury a go. The game had been made available for Switch in February. Learn more about it here.
Physical Celebration
