Amazon Games and Smilegate RPG have revealed that they’re collaborating with CD PROJEKT RED to bring Geralt of Rivia, as well as other characters from The Witcher, to Lost Ark through a limited-time special crossover event. Before you get too excited, this upcoming event is set for January 2023 in North America, Europe, South America, and Australia. But those in Korea can now enjoy it.
Characters and Voice
For this special crossover event, players can look forward to seeing these characters from The Witcher:
- Geralt of Rivia
- Yennefer of Vengerberg
- Triss Merigold of Maribor
- Dandelion
- Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon
Besides characters, this collaboration also brings the voice-over works from the original actors of The Witcher.
New Story
This collaboration also introduces a new story set in a new world where players are taken to White Wolf’s Haven, a setting for merriment and festivals. However, the celebrations are paused with the sudden appearance of a mysterious vortex.
As players start to look into what’s causing this unexplained phenomenon, they encounter a visitor who’s from a different place and time and it’s none other than the famed Witcher Geralt of Rivia.
This meeting starts a series of events where players need to face the mystery of the interdimensional vortex. Along the way, they will meet more visitors from another dimension.
Ultimately, players of Lost Ark need to work with characters from The Witcher to solve a puzzle that goes across space and time.
New Items
Aside from new characters and new story, this upcoming event also gives players the chance to get special Witcher-themed items. There are also new Witcher-themed cosmetics in the store. Don’t forget to check out the new character customization scars as well.
Other items arriving during the collaboration event are Cards, Stronghold structures, and Emojis.
The Witcher
The main series started with the release of The Witcher in 2007 with the trilogy ending in 2015 through The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. In addition to the three main standalone games, there are also two expansion packs along with six spin-off games. The games are available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS.
Lost Ark
Lost Ark is a MMO action role-playing game released in 2019 in Korea with a worldwide launch in February 2022. The game is mainly focused on exploration and PvE but there are PvP elements. It’s available on PC.
