The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Now Available; Review Round-Up

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is one of the biggest games of 2023 if not the biggest, even though the title is only available on one platform. Fans around the globe can now play the much-anticipated sequel on their Nintendo Switch.

About the Sequel

Tears of the Kingdom seems to have massively expanded the formula of the first game. The sequel offers a ridiculous amount of vertical exploration along with several new abilities. The first one is the Recall ability, which enables the user to reverse time for an object. The second ability is Fuse, letting players combine different materials to create new weapons. Ultrahand ability permits users to stick objects together, and lastly, the Ascend ability enables players to travel through ceilings.

Our favorite protagonist Link has joined hands with Princess Zelda and is trying to oppose a malicious threat that aims to destroy the kingdom of Hyrule. If you are unaware or have forgotten the story of Breath of the Wild, you can watch the summary via an official recap below.

Review Round-Up

Just like its predecessor, Tears of the Kingdom also received universal acclaim from critics and currently has a 96 critic score on Metacritic, which is just a score lower than that of Zelda: BOTW.

As of writing, the sequel is also the highest-rated game ever on OpenCritic with a score of 97 top critic average. The score of the second game could still fluctuate as more critics review it. The user score is also yet to be revealed, which we are sure will be very positive. Some critics like Nintendo Life did criticize the performance of the game.
