Are you having trouble finding Link’s trusty steed, Epona, in Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild ? No matter how many horses you train at the stable, only one mount can make you feel like you are eleven-years-old again, playing Ocarina Of Time on your Nintendo 64. If you’ve been feeling this hole in your heart while playing the newest Zelda , there might be a way to help.

If you scan your Link Super Smash Bros. Amiibo on your Nintendo Switch, Epona will come to your side. Open the Sheikah Slate and select the Amiibo tab, then place the Link figure on your console. A prompt should appear and Epona wherever you want it to. You don’t need to tame the horse in order to ride, but you should head to a stable to keep her. She comes with a unique saddle and bridle.

If Epona dies, head over to the horse fairy at Malanya Spring in the Lake Tower region. Pay 1,000 Rupees and the fairy will appear and offer to revive any of the mares that you killed. You can’t rescan the Amiibo to get another Epona, because she’s just too majestic. You can’t even rename her because, as the stable master says: “you can’t rename a horse of legend.”

Epona has a four star rating in Stamina, Strength and Speed and a max bond with Link.

I’ve been trying to hold off on playing Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild until the hype dies off, but if I can ride Epona into battle and feel like a kid again, I might have to order myself a Switch stat.
