League of Legends: Wild Rift has received one of its biggest content updates for 2022. Patch 3.1 brings two new Champions, Karma and Shen. A lot of balancing changes have also been implemented, including for certain Champions and Summoner Spells, among others.

New Champions

Karma, the Enlightened One

Karma and Shen are the latest Champions to join the fray. Karma, the Enlightened One, deserves a special mention because her abilities are slightly different from the PC version.

First, her Mantra ultimate on PC is now her passive in Wild Rift. Every time she casts one of her abilities, she gains a stack of Mantra. At three stacks, her next ability is empowered.

Inner Flame sends a blast of energy that deals damage and slows enemies. When empowered, a small field spawns at the point of impact that explodes and deals damage a couple of seconds after.

Her Focused Resolve ability now tethers up to two nearby Champions. If the affected enemy Champions fail to escape after a few seconds, they are rooted for a short time. When empowered, it creates an additional tether between enemies, which can lead to creative setups. When the tethers are not broken in time, the enemy Champions are rooted for a longer time.

For Shen, you can learn more about his abilities here.

Aside from the new Champions, the developers will allow you to test the first version of Elemental Rift in a limited-time game mode. It will be available to play from March 31 at 8 p.m EST until April 10 at 7:59 p.m EST.
