Riot Games will add two new Champions to Wild Rift next week. Meanwhile, some Champion buffs, nerfs, item changes, and rune and system changes are now available on the live server.

New Champions

The theme of Patch 2.4b seems to be fire and ice as developers will add Brand and Nunu & Willump to the game on September 9.

Brand’s real name is Kegan Rodhe, a tribesman of the icy Freljord. After finding one of the legendary World Runes, Kegan seized its power for himself, thus burning his soul in the process.

Set to prove himself as a hero, Nunu ventured forth to slay the magical Yeti. However, it turns out that the once-fearsome monster only needed a friend. Nunu & Willump are bound by an ancient power, and they are on a quest to save Nunu’s mother.

The new Champions are expected to drop next Thursday at 8:01 p.m. EST.

Champion Changes

The patch has introduced a lot of Champion changes, including a buff to Akshan, a nerf to Akali, and so much more.

Akshan is a new hero, but the devs say he is all bark and no bite. Therefore, they’re buffing the base damage of Avengerang, and his Heroic Swing can now critically strike for 150% damage.

For Akali, her Assassin’s Mark passive bonuses are reduced. When moving toward the ring, the bonus movement speed is reduced to 30%, while its base damage is decreased to 28-140.
