Kayle the Righteous gets a brand-new kit, new voice over, and a visual update that is years overdue. While the new visual treatment is fitting given her capacity for being a fiery warrior of divine judgement, the reworked set of abilities is teeming with interesting mechanics and outplay potential. The changes remain true to Kayle’s theme and personality, but have been revamped, reworked, and adjusted to match the more modern mechanics of her fellow League champions. Learn more about the rework in the champion spotlight video below.

With Kayle’s visuals, gameplay, and even lore reworked, her twin sister Morgana gets a few cool new toys to play with as well. These include improved visuals and a buff to her ultimate.

Morgana the Fallen doesn’t get a full rework, but her visual update is sure to turn some heads, especially since Morgana has had the same model for 10 years running. Casting Soul Shackles now grants Morgana bonus movement speed when moving towards tethered enemy champions. Morgana has always been the “Queen of Death By CC”, and this latest buff is definitely going to keep her relevant well into Season 9. Some of us here at Player. One have been playing League of Legends since the first season. We remember Kayle and Morgana from all the way back in 2009, and neither of them have changed much in the past decade. That said, we’re looking forward to discovering what new strategies and builds they’ll be bringing to the meta, and we’re not unhappy about the added eye candy either. What about you? What do you think about the changes to Kayle and Morgana? Will you be summoning the Righteous to a deal divine judgement across Summoner’s Rift, or will you instead bring the Fallen to snare and stun your foes to oblivion?
