Released in 2014, Kingsman: The Secret Service was itself based on a comic series by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons titled The Secret Service. Eggsy is portrayed by Taron Egerton, who is joined by the excellent cast of, among others, Samuel L. Jackson, Colin Firth, Michael Caine, Mark Strong, and Sophie Cookson. The movie’s box office surprised considering that it was given an R rating. A sequel was released in 2017 titled Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
