The first batch of downloadable content for Just Cause 3 is nearly ready for deployment, Avalanche Studios confirmed on Tuesday, but details are still surprisingly scarce on the Just Cause 3’s newly-announced Sky Fortress DLC. Here’s what we know so far.

For months now, Avalanche Studios has been selling the Just Cause 3 Season Pass, called the Air, Land and Sea Expansion Pass; a one-time purchase that entitles the user to three Just Cause 3 DLC packs. As you can probably figure out for yourself, each add-on will focus on a different aspect of the Just Cause experience. This week, we learned the Air pack (called Sky Fortress) will be the first of the three to hit PSN, Steam and Xbox Live. And it sounds like there won’t be any shortage of new activities to complete when the first Just Cause 3 add-on debuts.

According to Avalanche, the Just Cause 3 Sky Fortress DLC will “bring new missions, features and other exciting surprises to the skies of Medici.” All of the new content is apparently being play-tested as we speak, or at least during standard work hours in Sweden. Unfortunately, studio didn’t elaborate any further. So it’s not clear whether or not we can expect someone to replace General Di Ravello, as the game’s primary antagonist, in the first Just Cause 3 expansion. There’s also no word on exactly when the first batch of Just Cause 3 DLC will go live.

In addition to revealing the first round of Just Cause 3 DLC, Avalanche also confirmed plans to release the game’s various pre-order incentives via the usual digital marketplaces. Beginning on Tuesday, a variety of weapons and vehicles were added to the PlayStation Store, Steam and the Xbox Store. The team also promised to release additional software patches for Just Cause 3 in the coming weeks, as it continues to identify and eliminate a variety of bugs on each platform.
