J Balvin makes a return to Fortnite, and this time, he’s joining the Icon Series. He brings with him the J Balvin Set which offers the J Balvin Outfit, an Emote, and a Glider. The set also has a Back Bling that can unsheathe as a Pickaxe. All of these become available at the Item Shop beginning August 26 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
For those who can’t wait for the set to arrive, the Outfit and Back Bling are already available individually at the Item Shop.
The Icon Series began in 2020 to introduce to the game the artistic vision, personality, and attitude of the top creators. The first one was the streamer Richard Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, who brought the Ninja Outfit, Ninja's Edge Back Bling, Ninja Style Emote, and Dual Katanas Pickaxe.
Party Hard
Players should be happy to know that the J Balvin Outfit comes in three styles. These are the default version, the Energia Balvin Style, and the Skeleton Balvin Style. There is also the Real Back Bling that comes in exciting colors. This one unsheathes into the Real Pickaxe. Finally, players can also surf in color with the Balvin Cruise Glider.
Fiesta Time
Starting from August 26 to September 9, players can enjoy the J Balvin-inspired experience titled “La Fiesta.” This one was created by community member Iscariote. By the way, the J Balvin-inspired “La Familia” experience is being re-featured until August 31.
Unlock Rewards
Just in case you haven’t heard, Fortnite revealed last week its new Impostors mode, which is basically Among Us . Anyway, the Impostors Trials are happening from August 25 to September 5. During this period, players can participate in the new game mode and get the chance to unlock rewards.
A Schwifty Crossover
Fortnite is known for its crossover with popular brands. Early this week, the Mecha Morty Outfit became available at the Item Shop. Besides him, there’s Morty’s Backpack Back Bling that can only carry Meeseeks Box. It may not sound much but it’s a start. Players can also bring the fight to enemies with the Space Snake Pickaxe.
