There’s already a report that Injustice: Gods Among Us 2 is set to be announced right before E3 2016 -- if not at the show -- but it’s the main man at NetherRealm Studios, Ed Boon , who wants to get the conversation started before the weekend.

On his official Twitter account, Boon, who is notorious for teasing future projects and updates of his games, changed his Twitter avatar to what appears to be the roman numeral for two. This, of course, has sparked plenty of conversation whether the Injustice 2 rumors are true.

Just take a look at Boon’s reply to one of his followers.

And while Mortal Kombat 11 would be toasty, it’s highly unlikely the follow-up to Mortal Kombat X is coming this year. That honor will likely go to Injustice 2 .

Boon’s Twitter avatar and his account in general is a perfect place to get updates on the studio’s latest games from the source, just like when Boon teased Mortal Kombat X back in 2014 by changing his Twitter avatar to the X used in the title.

So what do you think, are we getting Injustice 2 or (inexplicably) Mortal Kombat 11 ? Sound off in the comments section below.
