Imperator: Rome is all set to launch its new content pack titled Heirs of Alexander. It puts focus on the successors of the empire established by none other than Alexander the Great. The new pack is scheduled to be released on February 16 priced at $9.99.
For those who can still remember their history lessons, Alexander III was more than brilliant. In more than a decade of war in Asia, he managed to become a legend in many kings and conquerors that would follow. However, when he died, it resulted in a civil war as everyone wanted to have a share of the pie: his empire.
New Content Pack
For the Heirs of Alexander content pack, it challenges players if they have what it takes to become the rightful heir of Alexander. New content includes:
- Unique Mission Trees
- Get new special mission objectives for:
- Antigonid Empire in Anatolia
- Seleucid Empire in Asia
- Ptolemaic Empire in Egypt, Macedonia, and Thrace
- Get new special mission objectives for:
- Shared Mission Tree
- Diadochi-themed mission objectives offered to all of the Successor Kingdoms.
- Wonder Designer
- This new tool lets players build their own custom monuments, which can add bonuses to their location or to the entire empire.
- New Events
- Different Historical Events based on the history and legacy of Alexander’s followers.
- New Deities
- Meet new regional gods and goddesses from the Hellenistic kingdoms.
- New Treasures
- Prepare to grab unique artifacts from the Hellenistic kingdoms.
- New Music
- Enjoy three new music tracks that can inspire the player’s Successor Kingdom.
Upcoming Update
The new content pack is going to be released along with the 2.0 Marius update, and it will make some important rework to the game’s military system. Overall, players can expect these changes:
- Levies
- Players can draft levies from their provinces to fight their wars.
- The size and composition are based on the cultures and population types in the province.
- Legions
- Players can advance their military technology to have their very own standing professional military forces that can guard their empire.
- However, they do have a tendency to follow disloyal generals.
