There are a flurry of new rumors for HTC’s upcoming flagship smartphone, including that it may be called the HTC 10 instead of the HTC One M10. The most recent render leak suggests the smartphone may launch April 19, instead of the date originally proposed, April 11.

The new image renders of the HTC 10 come courtesy of Weibo-user @upleaks, and while some pundits are skeptical of their validity, others have used them to decipher details about HTC’s upcoming launch. Tech informant Evan Blass, also known as @Evleaks suggests the HTC 10 may launch April 19, as per the date that appears on the screen of the leaked renders.

Several manufacturers use the date and time on the displays of image renders to tease details about their unreleased devices. Since leaked renders are often the press renders companies use as marketing material, their validity is usually spot on.

At this time is it not known whether the assumed launch date is the date the HTC 10 will be announced or the date it will hit stores. Typically, such dates indicate when a device will be unveiled.

Rumors originally suggested the HTC 10 would debut April 11 in London. However, the possibility of a new release date could also indicate a new location for the unveiling.

HTC 10 is expected to feature a 5.15-inch Quad HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip, 4GB of RAM, a 12-megapixel camera and a USB Type-C port. Recent leaks suggest that the device will have a design similar to the HTC One A9, which released in August.
