Horizon Zero Dawn and Death Stranding apparently exist in the same universe. You’ll find references to Hideo Kojima’s upcoming title through Easter Egg items hidden throughout the game. Well, three items to be exact. Here’s where you can find the Stranded items in Horizon Zero Dawn .
Stranded Necklace
The first Death Stranding Easter eggs comes in the form of a “Stranded” Necklace. It can be found in via the main quest "The Grave-Hoard.” Once you enter the “cave,” head all the way to the left where you’ll find some broken machines. Hope over the machines to find two corpses. The Stranded necklace is on the right corpse.
It’s the same necklace Norman Reedus’ character wears in the first Death Stranding trailer.
Stranded Shackles
This Death Stranding Easter Egg item can also be found during a main quest. You can find the Stranded Shackles during "Deep Secrets of the Earth" or you can always go back to the area once you’ve completed the mission. Go to the location marked as "Zero Dawn Alternate Entrance.” There’s a table to the right of the of the entrance. The shackles are found on that table.
They are the shackles Reedus’ character is sporting in the first Death Stranding trailer.
Stranded Figure a.k.a. The Creepy Baby Doll
The final item can be found during “The Heart of the Nora” quest after you open the door in All-Mother. The Stranded Figure is hidden under the first set of stairs.
The is the doll that floats towards Mads Mikkelsen’s character in the second Death Stranding trailer.

Now that you have all three stranded items, head to the Speciality Merchant in Meridian. Trade the Stranded items in for the Mysterious Box, which continues some modification boxes, warm socks and other goods.
