For Honor: Valkyrie and Tiandi Too Tough to Handle, So They Got Nerfed in Patch 2.43.0

For Honor Ubisoft

Ubisoft launched a new update for its melee action game For Honor not long ago. Some heroes like Valkyrie and Tiandi were overperforming lately, which is why they got nerfed in Patch 2.43.0.

One of the biggest changes for Valkyrie is that her Shield Tackle no longer chains on miss. If the move does not connect, Valkyrie cannot initiate the next move on her attack set. According to the company, since Valkyrie's opponents cannot fully react to Shield Tackle even at the top level, there is no need to give it even more safety. The nerf is pretty significant considering that she can no longer follow up with a Chain Light or Heavy attack if Shield Tackle misses, which emboldens her enemies to punish her without fear of an immediate counterattack.

Tiandi is another hero that got nerfed in For Honor Patch 2.43.0. The recovery time when Dragon Kick misses is now set at 700 ms, up from 600 ms. Tiandi players may have to be more cautious now when initiating the attack.
