For Honor officially started Year 4 Season 4 and it began the Season of Mayhem. It introduces a new Hero, a new Testing Grounds phase, and of course, a new Battle Pass. The start of this new season also marks the conclusion of the competitive For Honor Dominion Series program.
Next-Gen Support
The new season came with Patch 2.24.0. Console players should be happy with graphical improvements. They can now experience the game at 60 FPS. Here are the features now available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S:

New Mercenary Hero
The new season introduces the poleaxe-wielding mercenary Hero and former member of the Order of Lawbringers Gryphon.
Gryphon is accessible through the first-party storefronts as part of a premium package, which also offers:
- an exclusive Ornament
- an Elite Outfit
- three crates
- seven days of Champion Status
Gryphon is unlockable in-game for 15,000 Steel beginning December 24.
Revenge
The Development Team revealed that in the new patch, the Revenge User Interface is even better in showing more information. The team said in a post that the idea behind the changes is to “allow players to make better decisions during group fights.”
Other Additions
The new season is bringing back Testing Grounds from December 10 to December 17. Here, players get the chance to try out changes on Nobushi, Warden, Shugoki, and Peacekeeper.
Mayhem also welcomes everyone to a new Battle Pass, available for purchase. It offers, among others, 100 tiers of premium weapons, mood effects, and outfits. Those who buy the Year 4 Season 4 Battle Bundle will immediately unlock the first 25 reward tiers.
Dominion Series
For Honor Dominion Series will conclude as well in this new season. There’s the Last Chance Qualifier Pools scheduled on December 19 with Playoffs set on January 9. The Grand Finals is set on January 23 with a prize pool of $35,000. You can learn more about this tournament here.
