Legendary video game creator Hideo Kojima is once again teasing his fans on the internet. Kojima tweeted on August 13 which read, “Tentatively finished editing for now.”

The Tweet

There were two images in the tweet, but only one is worth analyzing. That one image was a picture of an editing tool with multiple scenes from A1 to A9 and V1 to V11. Although I am not sure, I think all the A’s represent audio files, and the V’s represents video scenes. There is also something in Japanese, but I have no clue what it is.

Possible Games

Kojima Productions might have made a good game, but the studio isn't good at keeping secrets. We already know that the studio is working on two games. The first one is a sequel to Death Stranding, accidentally confirmed by the actor of the game’s protagonist, Norman Reedus. The second was leaked a few months ago.

The leaked game is an episodic horror game called Overdose. The rumor is that Overdose is the same game being developed in collaboration with Microsoft. During the recent Summer Game Fest, Xbox Head Phil Spencer confirmed that they are working with Hideo Kojima on a new game.

Possible Place to Reveal

Although we don’t know for sure which game will be present, we do know that the reveal is close. Gamescom 2022 seems like a great place to announce the title. The upcoming event is less than two weeks away (August 24 to 28) and is very popular among gamers.

Additional Reveal at the Game Awards 2022

Even if Kojima chooses Gamescom to reveal the game, I am sure we will still see something at The Game Awards 2022. Kojima is buddies with Geoff Keighley, organizer and the host of the show. Keighley played the role of Ludens Fan — a prepper in Death Stranding.

So what do you think? Are you excited about a new game by the creator of the Metal Gear franchise? Have you played any of his games before? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
