Harry Potter: Wizards Unite released update version 2.3.0, which brings some changes to Encounters. In addition, this recent update offers changes to the photo mode and the Ministry ID.

One interesting change that wizards are sure to love is you are now be able to see the number of fragments you currently have on a Foundable when you tap a Trace and enter the Encounter. This is indeed a big boost as it helps players decide on whether to go for the Foundable or not. Given the number of Foundables available, it is difficult to recall all of them

If you realize that you've gathered all the fragments for that Foundable, then you can cancel or flee the encounter and avoid any need to use up spell points. With the update, you no longer see the confirmation pop up when you flee an Encounter. Finally, in terms of encounters, the new update allows you to take AR Photos of a Foundable before starting the Encounter provided that one of its fragments has been returned to the Registry.

One not so big change is the Photo Mode, which adds the filter to the Registry. All you need to do is toggle the camera button in order to see which Foundables allow their photo to be taken with Photo Mode.

Then there is the change that allows players to see their Wizarding XP from the Ministry ID.

Update version 2.3.0 also brings with it these changes:

  • General
    • The Disable Screen Sleeping option is now available in the Settings menu! This will keep your phone from going to sleep while you play the game.
    • Added Photo Mode to the Flock of Memos Encounter
    • New Encounters and Oddities have been added to the game.
  • Bug Fixes
    • Fixed an issue with the Dancing with Dummies Auror skill.
    • Beta players] Resolved an issue that kept beta players from receiving the Redacted Report and London 5 Transcript Mystery Foundables.

It's not all updates as Harry Potter: Wizards Unite also revealed issues that the development team is working on. For example, the Rental Cauldron pop-up can become unresponsive if players rent a cauldron then attempt to brew a potion with a longer brew time than the time left on the Rental Cauldron. Another issue is that for Wizarding Challenges, foes may appear to receive Stamina or have negative Stamina after being attacked or defeated.
