Good news for those excited about Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2. The public test for the game’s Rollback Netcode begins October 28. The game is the third installment of the Xrd fight game series from Guilty Gear.

The Rollback Netcode is set to bring Steam players various enhancements to that game’s online play. This is expected to reduce delay in online matches and let players enjoy fighting fellow players across distant regions.

Steam players can take advantage of the beta testing period on the date mentioned for an initial Rollback Netcode experience. Developer Arc System Works shared that it’s also planning for a future Rollback Netcode implementation in Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR-.

Despite having been in the market for five years, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 continues to be a fan favorite. The game offers balancing updates while also introducing new characters Baiken and Answer. It also expands the story and arcade modes to shed new light on different fighters.

To run Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, players need to have Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- on Steam. One of the things that players can enjoy with Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- is the extensive game modes.

Beginners, for example, can learn more about the game with the step-by-step training program from Tutorial Mode. There’s also the Stylish Mode for easy inputs of Special Attacks. For those who are already familiar with fighting games, they can take on the Combo mode that teaches the combo potentials of all characters. Meanwhile, the Mission mode teaches players about the general tactics and techniques of the characters. Finally, there is the Training Mode to recreate the station of their choice.

Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- also has an online mode, and those who want to compare their score with other players can take on Rank Match. Those who simply want to enjoy fights should pick the Player Match mode instead.

For the PC, the minimum system requirements are:

  • OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 (32-bit/64-bit)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5 @ 2.0 GHz
  • Memory: 2 GB RAM
