Developer Arc System Works has just announced a huge milestone for Guilty Gear -Strive-, the latest entry in the studio’s long-running fighting game franchise. Guilty Gear -Strive- has just reached the 1 million sales mark, making it the first game in the series to ship 1 million copies and is now the best-selling game in the series. Check out the full announcement via the Arc System Works Twitter page below.

Besides the sales milestone, the studio has now also officially released and unveiled the latest character in the game’s roster, Bridget. Bridget is the sixth overall DLC character and the first one for the game’s Season Pass 2. Check out a starter guide and trailer for Bridget below.

Bridget is considered a fan favorite of the series and one of the major mainstays across the Guilty Gear franchise. First appearing in Guilty Gear X2 , Bridget was born as a male with a twin brother in a certain village. However, this village follows the philosophy that the birth of male twins is considered bad luck; to avoid this, her parents raised her as a girl. Bridget’s iconic status in the series is further cemented with her use of a yo-yo as a weapon, as well as a mechanical oversized teddy bear named Roger. Since then, Bridget has appeared in several other Guilty Gear titles including Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus, Guilty Gear Isuka, Guilty Gear Dust Strikers, and Guilty Gear Judgment.

Bridget is part of Season Pass 2, which was announced by Arc System Works as having four different characters, two additional battle stages, and the Guilty Gear -Strive- additional color pack number two. Season Pass 1 contained five characters, all of which have now been released, including, Goldlewis Dickinson, Jack-O, Happy Chaos, Baiken, and Testament. The three remaining characters in Season Pass 2 will be announced at a later date, with one more to be released later this year, and the final two coming alongside the new stages sometime in 2023.

To keep up with the new content, Arc System Works also announced the repackaging of Guilty Gear -Strive- and its various DLCs. The base game will now be available for $39.99 from its original $59.99 price point, while the base game plus Season Pass 1 has been lowered to $59.99 from its $84.99 price point. A new edition called Guilty Gear -Strive- Ultimate Edition 2022 is now available for $79.99, containing the base game, the Ultimate Edition Content Kit, and Season Pass 1 and 2.
