On the League of Legends Public Beta Environment , Riot revealed the next three Super Galaxy skins coming out. Super Galaxy Fizz, Shyvana and Kindred join Rumble as protectors of the weak and heroes to all. They all have a very Japanese motif, taking inspiration from the superhero costumes of Ultraman and Kamen Rider, and bringing them to Summoner’s Rift. With new VFX and altered voices, the Power Rangers really have nothing on these guys. All of these skins will set you back 1350 RP.
Super Galaxy Fizz has all new explosions on his abilities and a recall where he jumps into a shark submarine. It’s like Riot read my journal; all they need now is a Poro Teemo and a Groot Maokai. Fizz is the sneakiest and trickiest assassin in the game and players love to hate him. You might actually yell less in All Chat about dying three times in lane because he just looks so cool.
When Super Galaxy Fizz shoots his ultimate, a hovering beacon appears on the ground instead of a fish. The shark that pops up is definitely my favorite out of all the Fizz skins, sorry Fisherman’s Urf.
Kindred just came out, but she’s already getting a new skin. Riot hasn’t completely forgot about Yorick, but they definitely don’t want to acknowledge his existence. Super Galaxy Kindred has a similar color scheme to Neon Strike Vi, with Lamb having blue hair and an orange jump suit. Wolf looks less frightening and more kawaii, his signature black trail being traded out for a bright purple mist.
The real winner here is Super Galaxy Shyvana. For too long she’s had mediocre skins; Championship Shyvana was the best but it was a limited time skin that made her just a bit too blue. Now we finally get a cosmetic worthy of being worn by a dragon. Her human form has her looking like one of the members of Voltron with a giant green wig. It’s silly but it works. In dragon mode, she turns into a robot that looks familiar and unique at the same time.
I’ve tried these skins out on the PBE and they look gorgeous. The colorful VFX make you feel like you are playing different champions. Now, if only they all combined into a Voltron.
