Genshin Impact’s Version 1.6 is going to be released in a few days but it seems that there is newly leaked information about an upcoming patch.

Version 1.7 is rumored to introduce four additional characters to the roster. So, let’s find out who these characters are.

What People Can Expect

The biggest leaked information about Version 1.7 so far is Tohma. This character is rumored to be a Pyro polearm user.

People who’ve played the game in its beta stages will know that Ayaka has mentioned Tohma several times, which would imply that they are somewhat connected or may have known each other in the past.

Another character that is likely to be introduced alongside Tohma is Sayu. Sayu will be a cute four-star character that has a Tanuki hoodie to make her appearance stand out. She is an Anemo user with a huge claymore as her weapon of choice.

Sayu is a confirmed character at this point after the game's official Twitter revealed her banner. In a tweet, Sayu is said to be hiding in the trees during the afternoons and is also considered a “Nyctereutes Minor.”

While it was rumored just a week ago, interestingly enough, the game has also revealed the banner for Yoimiya.

Yoimiya appears to be a bow-wielding Pyro user and the owner of the Naganohara Fireworks.

The final character that is likely to be included in the roster is Kamisato Ayaka. According to her official banner reveal, she is known as the “Frostflake of Heron” and the daughter of Yashiro Commission’s Kamisato Clan.

By the looks of it, Ayaka will be a Cryo user but her connection to Tohma remains a mystery. Perhaps players will learn through their backstories in the game.

Although MiHoYo released the official banners, the developer didn't reveal specific release dates for these four characters. However, they will likely be introduced in Version 1.7 or if not, then Version 1.8.

So, what do you think of the upcoming characters?
