FromSoftware is an expert in developing Souls -like games. Almost all of their recent games have received critical reception. One of the most critically acclaimed PS4-exclusive games was Bloodborne, which was also developed by FromSoftware. Check out our review of Bloodborne.

New PS5-Exclusive Game

It seems like Sony PlayStation is also going to have a similar exclusive. Nick Shpesal, the co-founder of the XboxEra and a well-known leaker, revealed via retweet that FromSoftware is developing a new game exclusively for PS5.

Sorry to rain on your parade PlayStation fans, but the alleged game in development is not Bloodborne 2. The fan-favorite title is still not getting a sequel. Nick further claimed that this game will not be revealed during the upcoming State of Play, which according to other rumors, will take place on August 19. This makes sense as said game is probably in early development.

Other Leaks

This is great news for Sony fans as their preferred console is getting yet another exclusive from a competent developer. However, there will be a slight disappointment that it’s not Bloodborne 2. The demand for BB2 is incredibly high. But fans might still have something else to look forward to. Previous rumors have also suggested that Bloodborne Remaster is currently in the works for PS5 and will come out early next year. The remaster is also expected to be released on PC later down the line.

Elden Ring

FromSoftware is currently busy with their highly anticipated title, Elden Ring, which will launch January 21, 2022, on PC, Xbox, and PS. The title is planned for both current and past-gen consoles.

We don’t have to tell you but do keep in mind that all these are just rumors. They can be inaccurate or just plain old lies as well. So take this with a grain of salt and wait for an official announcement.

So what do you think? Are you excited about the alleged new Souls game? Or would you rather have Bloodborne 2? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
