Forza Horizon 5: New Horizon Test Track Now Available

Update 22 Playground Games

Update 22 for the racing car game Forza Horizon 5 is now available on all platforms. This patch introduced the new Horizon Test Track and of course, new cars!

Horizon Test Track

Ever wanted to try a car with all of the bells and whistles before making the purchase? The new Horizon Test Track in Forza Horizon 5 lets you do just that! This new feature allows you to tune your car and test drive all of the modifications on the track. If you're happy with the car, you can save it and the game will automatically purchase the necessary parts for you. If you don't like it, you can scrap everything and start another project.

If you want to try the Horizon Test Track, it can be accessed at the Horizon Festival in Mexico via its own map icon. You don't have to go in there alone because you can play alongside your friends!

New Cars

Also in Update 22 are a bunch of new cars - some inspired by folks at Donut Media. The Nissan 350Z "Hi-Low" series, for example, is a couple of modified cars that use the said vehicle model. The "Hi" car is the expensive version that uses the $8,100 Jim Wolf twin-turbo kit. The "Low" car, on the other hand, uses a modest yet respectable $3,500 single-turbo engine with an impressive 302 horsepower.

Here are the other new cars in this patch:

  • Festival Playlist Reward Cars
    • 2020 Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series
    • 1991 GMC Syclone
    • 1992 GMC Typhoon
    • 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series

  • Donut Media HiLow Reward Cars
    • 1996 Formula Drift #51 Donut Media Nissan 240SX
