Fortnite Update 18.30 is now available. In the continued war effort against the Cube Queen and her legion, two new weapons can be funded at the Donation Board. A new landmark is also available.
New Weapons
In your ongoing fight against the Cubed monsters, you must be equipped with the right gear. Two new weapons are available at the Donation Board. If you’ve played at the start of the season, you should know that only one of these weapons will be manufactured on the island at the end of the funding period.
The weapons in question are the Boogie Bomb and Combat Shotgun. When you toss the Boogie Bomb to your foes, they will be sent into a dancing frenzy which gives you enough time to blast them off the face of the planet.
However, if you want a more up close and personal approach, then the Combat Shotgun is definitely the one for you.
You can provide some Bars at the Donation Stations. The first weapon that gets “100% Funded” status will be made available to everyone.
Mountain Base
New to this patch is a landmark known as the Mountain Base. If you’ve been paying attention to your surroundings, you probably noticed the sealed door at the mountain near Catty Corner.
The developers have finally opened it up - uncovering a new IO base. If you go there and pay a visit, be prepared with the right loadout as Doctor Slone and her guards will be there.
The Convergence Update
It seems that the next phase of the Cube Queen’s “Convergence” is complete. If you want to know what’s in store for you, head to the center of the island.
Aside from that, the Cube Queen will soon be available in Chapter 2 Season 8 Battle Pass. By completing new quests, you can unlock the Long Live the Queen Set. These quests are now available, so be sure to do them soon if you want to add this unique set to your collection.
Stay With Squad
This feature was introduced last week in select regions. The good thing is that folks at Epic Games found no significant issues, so they’re rolling this one out to all server regions.
For those who do not know, “Stay with Squad” allows you to play with your current team again if you want to. This is available for Duos, Trios, and Squads only.
Fortnite Update 18.30 is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS, and PC.
