Final Fantasy XVI Sold More Than 3.5 Million Copies in the First Week

Final Fantasy XVI Square Enix

The recent launch of Final Fantasy XVI has brought joy to a lot of people. Gamers are thrilled to play this amazing role-playing game, Sony is pleased to showcase yet another solid PS5 exclusive, and Square Enix is delighted with its major success, both financially and critically.

Sales Figure

The official Twitter page of FFXVI announced that the latest installment sold over 3.5 million copies in its first week. Although this number falls slightly short of the sales figures for FFVII Remake, which sold 3.5 million copies in 3 days, it is still an impressive achievement. It's important to note that the remake was released on PS4, which had a massive user base, while FFXVI was exclusively released on PS5, which has a smaller user base compared to its predecessor.

PC Port

With each passing day, this number will likely continue to grow. The sales figures are expected to receive another significant boost when the game eventually launches on PC. Naoki Yoshida, the game's producer, has already confirmed that a PC version is currently in development, with more details will be revealed at a later date.

Other PlayStation 5 Exclusives

FFXVI isn't the only AAA exclusive coming to PlayStation 5. In October, Sony's latest console will also receive Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Additionally, in the following year, PS5 owners can look forward to another Square Enix title, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

Guides

Final Fantasy XVI offers approximately 60 hours of gameplay, which can be intimidating for some players, especially newcomers. However, don't worry, as we have you covered with our guides that will make the game a bit easier.

In FFXVI, players have the opportunity to increase their inventory space, although this upgrade is easily missed. Players will need to complete a side quest to obtain it, explained by our guide in great detail. We also provide a guide to help you acquire a rideable Chocobo, which, once again, can be missed by many players.
