As part of its Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Opening Ceremony, Square Enix gave new details about three more Final Fantasy XV DLC in the works for players in the next five months.

Gematsu reports the first of three Final Fantasy XV DLC will be released at the end of February. The first DLC will be a Booster Pack containing new items. The two other DLC will be a continuation of Gladio and Prompto’s story. Check out the descriptions and release dates for the Final Fantasy XV DLC below below.

Booster Pack+ and Booster Pack (Free Version) – Feb. 21: The Booster Pack+ and Booster Pack (free) will provide powerful items for Final Fantasy XV players. One of the items is reportedly a suit that boosts your fishing skills and gives you invincibility for 30 minutes. You can equip this item once every 24 hours, so use it wisely.

Episode: Gladiolus – March 28: “An original episode that unfolds from the perspective of Gladio, who was not playable in the main story of Final Fantasy XV . Enjoy fresh controls with Gladio-like action different from Noctis. Additionally, Final Fantasy series familiar character Gilgamesh will also appear.” This likely refers to the section of FFXV where Gladio leaves the party.

Episode: Prompto – June 2017: No description available.

Unfortunately, Square Enix has yet to provide details about the Prompto DLC, though we can expect it follows his adventures after getting separated from the party in Chapter 11. There likely won’t be an update until after the Final Fantasy XV Moogle Chocobo Carnival ends on Feb. 19. Speaking of the carnival, we’ve got plenty of guides, tips and tricks to help you through the limited time adventure. Check out iDigitalTimes’ Final Fantasy XV Moogle Chocobo Carnival guides below.

REVIEW SUMMARY
Final Fantasy XV
8.5
Combat, Plot, Characters Create Something Flawed, Beautiful, Fantastic
Despite it's flaws, Final Fantasy XV is a milestone achievement: not just for being completed, but for being completed with polish, aplomb and love.
  • Engaging main cast of characters
  • Fun, fast-paced combat
  • A massive, beautiful world to explore
  • The Regalia!
  • Continuous updates have addressed some shortcomings of the initial release
  • Major aspects of the story feel rushed or absent, particularly toward the end of the game
  • Stealth sequences feel out of place
