A leaked Final Fantasy 7 Remake image surfaced recently that seemingly confirms its install size will be a whopping 100GB on PS4. The image appears to show the Korean version of box art for the Final Fantasy 7 remake with the install size on the back of the box art. While this hasn’t been officially confirmed, it wouldn’t be that surprising with all we’ve learned about the game so far.

Final Fantasy 7 is set to release in an episodic format and the first part covers Midgar and the events that take place at the start of the original game.

During E3 2019, Final Fantasy 7 Remake producer Yoshinori Kitase spoke to Gamespot about the size and scope of the game, saying “to do the whole story was going to be huge and then when we actually did start planning out the plot for the first game, it hit us again that this is going to be a huge amount of content.”

The first part alone has been described as a full game in its own right and will include plenty of content and cutscenes that make the file size very large. Kitase also said the game's file size would be big enough to fit on two Blu-Ray discs.

While the size of the Final Fantasy 7 remake isn’t confirmed, it’s safe to assume that you will need a lot of hard drive space to install the game. With more episodes to follow, the series looks lively and it’s going to have a lot of content.

So, what are your thoughts on the supposed Final Fantasy 7 size leak? Do you think the game is going to be as huge as everyone speculated it to be? Whatever your thoughts may be, let us know in the comments below.
