Tired of playing Final Fantasy 14 Online alone? Why not invite your friends? How about the ones who already have the game but haven’t played in a while? Well, you can do these with a little something in store for everyone, the Callback Campaign.
This campaign actually started on December 23, 2020. It’s set to end on January 23 at 3:00 AM EST.
So, how does this campaign work? First, you need to select an offline friend from your in-game friends or from the free company member list. On the subcommand menu, there should be an option that reads “Invite Friend to Return” and all you need to do is click it. If the selected game meets the requirements, they should get an email that you’ve invited them to play the game again.
Rewards
Before we go into the requirements, you might ask what would motivate you, or your friends for that matter, to join the campaign.
Suppose you do manage to convince a friend to return and even have them get a subscription within 90 days, you get a reward. You get five Gold Chocobo Feathers, which you can trade for special items. Here are some of the items you can look forward to in return for the Gold Chocobo Feathers:
- Twintania Neurolink Key
- Required Feathers: 15
- Amber Draught Chocobo Whistle
- Required Feathers: 8
- Managarm Horn
- Required Feathers: 8
- Rare Dye x5
- Required Feathers: 1
- Aetheryte Ticket x10
- Required Feathers: 1
Meanwhile, for those who get the invitation email, they can click “Redeem Your Gift” and then head on over to the Mog Station to get these items:
- 7 Days of Free Play
- Aetheryte Ticket x 99
- 10 Silver Chocobo Feathers
Items that can be traded for Silver Chocobo Feathers include:
- Weapons for level 20 characters (Item Level 22)
- Required Feathers: 1
- Equipment for level 50 characters (Item Level 130)
- Required Feathers: 5
- Equipment for level 60 characters (Item Level 270)
- Required Feathers: 5
- Equipment for level 70 characters (Item Level 400)
- Required Feathers: 5
By the way, both Gold and Silver Chocobo Feathers can be exchanged with the Calamity Salvager NPC. They can be found in Limsa Lominsa, Gridania, or Ul'dah.
Requirements
So, how can a friend be invited? Well, they need to have a service account that’s been inactive for at least 90 days. Players invited also need to have purchased, as well as registered, the game to their service account. Those that don’t meet the requirements are not going to get an email even if they have been invited to return.
By the way, each character registered to a service account can only be used to invite friends a maximum of five times.
