A new update is available on The Elder Scrolls Online’s public test server. Update 8.0.3 brings Whitestrake’s Mayhem event back to Cyrodiil and the Imperial City. In addition, this patch addresses some issues involving the High Isle Quests, as well as Companions.
Whitestrake’s Mayhem is a pure PvP event where players can earn up to three event tickets per day. These tickets can be exchanged for items at the Impresario merchant.
Interested players can join the event by heading to Predicant Maera, an Imperial in Cyrodiil. She will give the Scroll of Pelinal’s Ferocity after a short introduction. Those who have already completed the quest last year can just use the scroll to get in.
Players are also rewarded with the Pelinal’s Boon Boxes after completing daily quests in Cyrodiil or in the Imperial City districts. These boxes contain goodies, ranging from Tel-Var stones to soul gems or Cyrodiil repair kits.
Update 8.0.3 for The Elder Scrolls Online also resolves certain issues concerning Companions and High Isle quests. For instance, players will no longer be teleported out of the caves of Dreadsail Reef when Tideborn Taleria is defeated. Furthermore, the issue where Companions may temporarily stop commenting when they were directed to engage or withdraw in combat via pet commands has been fixed.

- Added a map icon for Tales of Tribute locations
- Fixed several issues that caused Tribute NPCs to animate poorly
- Updated Toll of Flesh, a Duke of Crows card, to cost 1 more gold and grant 1 more gold when used
- Improved the speed of auto-play
- Fixed an issue that could prevent you from receiving Tales of Tribute card upgrades when following clues
- Searing Strike
- Burning Embers (morph): Reduced the healing value from this morph to up to 50%, down from up to 100%
- Combustion: This passive now has a cooldown of 3 seconds, up from 0.5 seconds
