Electronic Arts has collaborated with Spotify to release the Ultimate FIFA Soundtrack. It has 100 songs coming from different EA Sports FIFA games over the last 25 years. Of these, 40 songs are making their return to FIFA 23 as part of the FIFA World Cup update, releasing on November 9.
Now, this list isn’t something the EA did on its own. On November 2, EA Sports actually invited FIFA players from different generations to nominate their favorite songs. There were more than 1,000 songs, so what EA Sports did was partner with Spotify to put everything playable in one place. Then, the most popular songs by November 7 were chosen in the final list.
For the FIFA songs selected, the top five most listened to were:
- Glass Animals - Heat Waves.
- Avicii - The Nights.
- Billie Eilish - You Should See Me In A Crown.
- Imagine Dragons - On Top Of The World.
- Bad Bunny, Bomba Estéreo - Ojitos Lindos.
In addition, more than 330 million user playlists have one or more songs from FIFA soundtracks, past or present.
In a statement, Steve Schnur of EA revealed that for 25 years, EA Sports FIFA has been a place for new music coming from not just superstars but also up-and-coming artists. He added that fans have their own favorite tracks and the Ultimate FIFA Soundtrack is a celebration of the music that has defined discovery, diversity, and excellence for many gamers.
