Looks like EA Sports PGA Tour got another hole-in-one with the US Open Championship experience. Golf fans worldwide know that this is the toughest major in the sport, and there’s a reason why. It’s because the tournament is one way that professional and amateur golfers get to test their skills against one another. Winning the tournament has been a career-defining moment for many golfers.

The US Open is played on some of the best courses like Torrey Pines and The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts. Both courses are set to be featured in the game once it releases in Spring 2022. It’s also going to be the first time that The Country Club is featured in a video game.

To bring one of the most legendary courses to the game, EA Sports made use of highly advanced aerial scanning to best capture The Country Club. This is very important given that it is one of the five founding member clubs of the US Golf Association. It’s also where Francis Quimet’s 1913 win put golf into the mainstream.

In addition to giving players the chance to try the US Open, the game is bringing back amateur events to the career mode like the U.S. Amateur Championship.

In a press statement, USGA Chief Commercial Officer Navin Singh revealed that they are happy to be back in the game. He added that they are excited to see players build up their game and try out different courses like The Country Club.

Pro golfer Bryson DeChambeau, meanwhile, shared that one of the highlights of his career was when he won the U.S. Amateur Championship back in 2015. He went on to say that this helped his career move forward with him eventually winning last year’s US Open.

EA Sports PGA Tour is now home to four of the sport’s major championships. These are the Masters Tournament, PGA Championship, U.S. Open Championship, and The Open Championship. Players also get the chance to experience a legendary career with The Players Championship and the FedEx Cup Playoffs.

Excited about the game yet?
