Dragon Ball FighterZ Open Beta Download Time: Early Access Instructions For PS4, Xbox One

Dragon Ball FighterZ is in open beta through Tuesday, so we’ve got all the key details you need to know about downloading and participating in the brief test period. Whether you’ve got early access or are waiting for the open beta, here are the key dates, times and instructions you should be aware of for the Dragon Ball FighterZ open beta for PS4 and Xbox One.




  • Early Access: Begins Jan.13 at 3 a.m. EST / Ends Jan. 14 at 2:59 a.m EST.
  • Open Beta: Begins Jan. 14 at 3 a.m EST / Ends Jan. 16 at 3 a.m. EST.



  • Early Access: Visit the Dragon Ball Fighter Z website and create an account using the redemption code that came with your pre-order. Use your email and code to login and connect your new account to Xbox Live or PlayStation Network. You’ll be given an email with a digital code to download the app.
  • Open Beta: During the open beta window, simply download the app for PS4 and Xbox One. Preloading is available now.


The beta features a roster of 11 playable characters including Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Frieza, Cell, Kid, Buu, Krillin, Piccolo, Nappa, Android 18 and Beerus. Certain characters from past beta sessions, like Future Trunks and Teen Gohan, won’t be available this time. There are seven maps including Planet Namek, World Tournament Arena, West City, Volcano, Wasteland, Cell Games Arena and Rocky Field. Modes include an online World Match, Practice mode and Replay Channel. During this time you’ll also be able to see what Stamps and the basic competitive lobby system look like.

Unfortunately there is no PC beta at this time, but the game will release on PC day-and-date with the PS4 and Xbox One versions on Jan. 26.
